Mireille Thibodeau
Founding partner, Portland
Mireille founded the firm in Portland and leads its car crash and wrongful-death cases.
Mireille grew up in Lewiston, in a French-speaking family, and still talks with clients in French when they'd rather. She spent her first years of practice defending insurance companies, which is where she learned how adjusters value a claim and why the first offer is low.
She started the firm to take the other side. She keeps the Portland office, answers its line herself on Mondays, and drives out to anyone who can't come in.

What Mireille learned on the other side
Working for insurers taught Mireille that a claim's value is set by its file, not by how much it hurts. A missing record lowers an offer, and a gap in treatment becomes the adjuster's best argument.
So she builds the file from the first week: every visit, every bill, every day of work missed. When the offer comes, she can show what each figure is worth, and tell the client honestly whether to take it.
